Another refinery in Kuching sent 215,000 litres, 150,000 and 380,000 litres to the same distributors in the month of January. The next month’s delivery from Trengganu and Kuching to the same distributors are 220,000 , 160,000 and 320,000 ; 195,000 , 320,000 and 420,000 respectively. (i)
write the monthly shipments from the 2 refineries to the distributors in the 3 states as 3x2matrices respectively. (ii)
Use matrix addition to find the total amounts sent to the distributors from the refineries.
(b)
Golden Jewel wishes to produce three types of bracelet: Amethyst, Pearly and Emerald. To manufacture a bracelet type Amethyst requires 2 min on machine I and II and 1 min on machine III. A Pearly type bracelet requires 2 min on machine I, 9 min on machine II and 4 min on machine III. An Emerald type bracelet requires 4 min on machine I, 7 min on machine II and 1 min on machine III. There are 48 min available on machine I, 105 min available on machine II and 37 min available on machine III. By denoting x, y and z as the number of bracelet type Amethyst, Pearly and Emerald manufactured. Represent the above information as a system of linear equations. By using the Gaussian Elimination method, how many bracelet of each type will be manufactured in order to use all the available time?

John has given the option to settle his RM 300 bill now or settling it for RM 306 after a month. If he chooses to pay after a month, compute the simple interest rate (per year) at which he would be charged. (d)
Jennifer was awarded damages of RM 150000 in a successful lawsuit she files at 5 years ago.
Simple interest on the judgment accrues at the rate of 12 % per year from the date of filing. If the amount were settled now, how much would Jennifer receive? 小妹感激不尽~~ 谢谢你们~ |
