short and sweet walk through about this Hanoi trip with my gf.
honestly, hanoi was one of my backpack route on south east asia tour.
always think of hanoi is awesome for backpacking, but when i was there,
mixed feeling occur. doesn't looks that great from my own imagination.
overall, happy ending trip.
found a lot of different design of building along the town area. their
building structure is a lot different compare to thailand or malaysia.
see it yourself....
local people is not friendly, once they found out you are foreigner and
they will try to cheat you. worse than china. maybe im able to speak
mandarin so i don't feel unlucky things happen when i was in china. the
traffic is just a mess, horn is their MUST DO activity on the road. no
matter what kind of transport you drive. felt my life threatened on the
street, really need to be extra careful while road crossing coz few of
the motorist don't border about the RED traffic light and ride through
+ horn!!! awesome n brilliant.....
for local food. bit difficult for foreigner to order. coz they dont
speak english. need to use body language to make an order. try their
famous french toast, vietnam style. noodle, n some fruit desert. try
french toast kebab, dont think u will love it either. imagine, the
toast nearly can throw dog as stone, hard bite like hell.... so, french
toast was out of my list when i try 1st day i arrive. vietnam style.
noodle, so so. nothing special. love the mix fruit ABC, serve with milk
n add ice on your own. mcd: im lovin it....
halong bay, nice place n lovin it but the 2 lunch + 1 dinner menu was
the same. fish, squid, vege or to fu, soup, spring roll and french
fried. haha.
heard from forum or friend, halong bay is nice, just like a small
version of gui lin 桂林. but will visit gui lin when im old n have extra
$$$. water is calm but not clear. dive in sure sesat :p~~~ from hanoi
town to halong bay jetty take 3-4 hours road ride n it will stop 20
minutes for break. according to tour guide, plus minus 500 boat will go
halong bay during weekend. imagine, full of boat on the water, remind
me the John Woo chinese movie: Red Clift 2. wow, awesome.... halong bay
for sure is a very nice place for island leisure.
