Memtechis an integrated precision moulded components manufacturer for themobile phone, IT equipment and automotive industries. We are a totalsolution provider for mechanical components including Keypads, lens andplastic components. In addition, we also design and manufactureantennas. Our keypad division is one of the leading industrial playersin the global mobile phone market. We produce ultra-thin, metal,high-end silicone rubber, plastic and silicone rubber plastic hybridkeypads primarily for the mobile phone and automotive industries. Weoffer a one-stop solution: from the initial stage of engineering designand mould fabrication to the manufacture and assembly of the components.

We service reputable International brands and contract manufacturers such as Motorola, Nokia, Sony Ericson, LG, Foxconn, Flextronics, Alcatel and HTC as well as reputable China brands such as Ningbo Bird, Lenovo, UT Starcom & TCL.To service our customers across the globe, we have sales offices inKorea, Japan, Singapore, Taiwan, America and Europe as well salesoffices in Beijing, Ningbo, Shanghai, Nantong, Huzhou, Hangzhou,Kunshan, Shenzhen, Dongguan and Xiamen in the PRC.

Our threekeypad manufacturing facilities are strategically located in the majormobile phone manufacturing hubs in China, namely the Pearl River Delta(Dongguan, Shenzhen and Guangzhou), and the Yangtze River Delta(Shanghai, Suzhou and Hangzhou). We also operate a plastic componentsmanufacturing facility in Kunshan which manufactures casings, primarilyfor digital cameras and mobile phones, and a lens manufacturingfacility in Dongguan. Our antenna business is a joint venture with adesign house in Shenzhen and a manufacturing facility in Dongguan. Ourmanufacturing facilities are awarded with QS9000, TS16949, ISO14000 andISO9001 certifications

The Group revenue declined by 16.4% or US$4.3 million to US$21.7 million inQ1 2007 over the corresponding period. The slowdown in mobile phoneindustry coupled with price pressures resulted in sales decline in Q12007 as compared to the corresponding period. While overall sales havedeclined in Q1 2007, we have managed to secure larger orders from ourpremium customers such as Foxconn, Flextronics and Vtech over thecorresponding period.

Lower selling price and lower utilization rate reduced the Group’s gross margin from 32.0% in Q1 2006 to 25.0% in Q1 2007.

Thereduction in sales and marketing expenses were due mainly to tightercost control as compared to Q1 2007. The increase in general andadministration expenses were due mainly to higher allowance fordoubtful debts and exchange losses.
