Home Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi (pic) has dismissed the reward offered by an Islamic NGO to anyone who slaps DAP's Teresa Kok saying, "there is nothing to investigate as it is not a threat".
"Why do we need to investigate that?
"Slapping is not a threat. If they say murder, then it is a threat," he said after a function at the Kajang Prison today.
Zahid said police would only take action if the act was actually carried out.
"If they slap her, then we will take action. The slapping thing is between her and that group," he said.
Zahid, however, revealed that more than 300 reports have been lodged against Kok for her Chinese New Year video.
"We have started investigation with the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission on this.
"We will collect all the reports that we have received from NGOs and we will look into it," he added.
Police yesterday said that they have begun investigations into the threat against Kok and have classified the case under Section 505© for public mischief with intent to incite anyone to commit any offence against others, as well as Section 506 for criminal intimidation.
