对了一个： ending => to end

还有一个错误...

当[动词]和[动词]碰在一块：

(1) [动词]+[不定式动词]       [不定式动词]： to go, to eat, to buy, to run
They want to go home.
She agreed to help me.
We managed to arrive on time.

(2) [动词]+[动名词]       [动名词]： going, eating, buying, running
He enjoys playing the piano.
I quit smoking last year.
She just finished reading the novel.

(3a) [动词]+[不定式动词]/[动名词] : 意思不变
I like to swim. / I like swimming.
He continued reading after dinner. / He continued to read after dinner.

(3b) [动词]+[不定式动词]/[动名词] : 意思不同
He stopped smoking = 他停止抽烟
He stopped to smoke = 他停下来抽烟
