In particular, we would like to draw your attention to the following:
a) MyEG Services Bhd has been alleged to have been illegally collecting fees for its foreign worker permit renewal services, despite suspension by the Immigration Department of Malaysia.
b) …that MYEG’s services contract with the Immigration Department had been suspended since February this year….
In accordance with Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad's ("Bursa Securities") Corporate Disclosure Policy, kindly furnish Bursa Securities with an announcement for public release confirming or denying the above reported article, in particular with respect to items (a) and (b) above after due and diligent enquiry with all the directors, major shareholders and all such other person reasonably familiar with the matters about which the disclosure is to made in this respect. Further to MY E.G. Services Berhad’s (“MYEG” or the “Company”) announcement dated 13 September 2023 and Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad’s query letter reference number IQL-14092023-00003 dated 14 September 2023, we set out our response to the same:-
1. MY E.G. Services Berhad has been alleged to have been illegally collecting fees for its foreign workers permit renewal services, despite suspension by the Immigration Department of Malaysia.
MYEG strictly adheres to all the terms and conditions stipulated by the Government of Malaysia in relation to the provision of services, and accordingly, the collection of fees for foreign workers' permit renewal services is not being performed illegally. Furthermore, we wish to clarify that it is MYEG's policy that in the event of services being unsuccessfully rendered, any sums collected would be refunded upon the request of customers.
2. ……that MYEG’s services contract with the Immigration Department had been suspended since February this year…..
We wish to clarify that MYEG's concession service had not been suspended since February of this year.

Services Berhad ("MYEG" or "the Company")- Extension of Immigration Related Services | Unless stated otherwise, the terms used herein shall carry the same meaning as those defined in the earlier announcements dated 5 January 2017, 22 May 2020, 1 July 2020, 7 July 2023, and 19 September 2023.
The Board of Directors of the Company wishes to announce that on 17 October 2023, MYEG has received a letter of acceptance dated 16 October 2023 from the Ministry of Home Affairs (“the Letter”) to extend the Immigration Related Services for a period of 2 years (“the Extension”). The estimated total value of the Extension will be dependent on the number of transactions performed over this period.
As part of the requirement under the Extension, MYEG will have to complete a system enhancement. MYEG will resume accepting applications for the Immigration related services upon completion of this system enhancement of which the commencement date will be announced by the Company in due course.
An agreement to formalise the Extension will also be signed at a later date and announced by the Company in due course.
The Board is of view that the Extension is in the best interest of the Company and is expected to contribute positively to the earnings and net assets per share of the Company for the financial years ending 31 December 2023 onwards.
At this point in time, the Board does not foresee any risks in relation to the Extension.
The Board wishes to express its heartfelt gratitude to the Government for the Extension.
None of the Directors and/or major shareholders and persons connected with a Director and/or major shareholder has any interest, direct or indirect in relation to the Extension.
The Board will release the necessary announcements in a timely manner to Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad for subsequent development on the Extension should there be material information which falls under the Main Market Listing Requirements.
