Activision and Bungie Open th Destiny Beta Beginning 17th July
Activision Publishing, a wholly owned subsidiary of Activision Blizzard, and Bungie today confirmed the calendar for the highly anticipated Destiny Beta, which will include a diverse sampling of major activities featured in the full game. Fans who pre-order Destiny at a participating retailer are guaranteed access into the Beta, which will commence as follows:
• The Beta begins first for PlayStation 4 computer entertainment system (PlayStation Plus required for some features) and PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system at 17:00pm on 17th July
• The Beta begins for Xbox One, the all-in-one games and entertainment system and Xbox 360 games and entertainment system from Microsoft (Xbox Live Gold required, subject to change) at 17:00pm on 23rd July
• The Beta will be offline for scheduled maintenance on 21st July – 22nd July and open back up to pre-order participants across all platforms until 06:59am on 28th July
“As we prepare to launch our first Beta on multiple console platforms around the world, we are excited and eager to open the flood gates,” said Harold Ryan, Bungie’s president. “We already love to play Destiny and with your help we can be ready for our launch in September.”
Activision and Bungie also revealed today three epic collector’s edition versions of the game.

- Expansion I: The Dark Below – Set deep beneath the surface of the Moon, fans will discover an ancient tomb that has been unsealed, and a dark god who has risen an evil army in the depths of the Hellmouth, the home of the Hive enemy race - Expansion II: House of Wolves – details will be revealed later
- PlayStation platforms will also include additional exclusive content for Expansion I and II and will remain exclusive until at least Fall of 2015
The Destiny Ghost Edition will also include the following
• Ghost replica, featuring motion-activated lights and voice recordings from award-winning actor Peter Dinklage, voice of the Ghost character, the player’s personal companion in the game
• Letter of Introduction

Alein: Isolation Pre-order Content Unites Original Movie Cast
SEGA of America, SEGA Europe and Twentieth Century Fox Consumer Products today announced exclusive pre-order bonus content for Alien: Isolation, featuring the vocal talent and likenesses of key cast members of the 1979 Ridley Scott masterpiece, Alien. Academy Award-nominated and Golden Globe-winner Sigourney Weaver (Ellen Ripley) , Tom Skerritt (Dallas) , Veronica Cartwright (Lambert) , Harry Dean Stanton (Brett) , Yaphet Kotto (Parker) and Ian Holm (Ash, likeness and sound-alike) are set to feature in two downloadable bonus missions, which allow you to relive two classic scenes from the movie.
“Working with the original cast has been an incredible experience,” said Alistair Hope, Creative Lead on Alien: Isolation. “It was important to us to have the key original cast members reprise their roles in order to perfectly capture the atmosphere of the movie. For some of the original cast, this is their first appearance in an Alien video game. Seeing them reprise those roles after 35 years was an unforgettable experience.”
Anyone in the UK who pre-orders the game will get a free upgrade to the Nostromo Edition, which includes the bonus content “Crew Expendable”. Players can choose to play as one of three surviving crewmembers, only moments after Brett’s death at the jaws of the creature. As Ellen Ripley, Dallas or Parker, players can explore the Nostromo from habitation deck down through engineering, coordinating their efforts with Lambert and Ash to lure the Alien into the ship’s airlock.
In addition, consumers who pre-order at select retailers will also receive “Last Survivor” in which players pick up the story as Ripley tries to escape on the Narcissus. On hearing the screams of Lambert and Parker, players must navigate their way back down through the Nostromo in order to activate the self-destruct sequence, before retracing their steps back to the Narcissus shuttle and their escape.*

Devolver Digital and Majesco Entertinament today announced a retail distribution partnership to release the katana-slinging action of Shadow Warrior on the PlayStation® 4 computer entertainment system and the Xbox One games and entertainment system from Microsoft this Fall. Devolver Digital will be distributing the game via both consoles’ digital services while Majesco distribute the game at retail.

Skullgirls Encore Coming to PS4 and PS Vita in 2014
Very little has been constant during Skullgirls’ two year existence — after all, the game has changed distributors and even developers. But one thing has stayed with us all this time: people asking us to bring the game to PS Vita and, more recently, PS4.
We read your comments, we took them to heart, and we’re finally making it happen: Skullgirls Encore will be coming to PS4 and PS Vita later this year!
The PS4 and PS Vita versions of Skullgirls Encore will be complete, including all of the DLC characters, stages, and story funded by Lab Zero’s Indiegogo campaign, as well as “All Play” multiplayer lobbies and an extensive art gallery.
Skullgirls Encore for PS Vita will also be playable on PlayStation TV, and support up to two local players using DualShock 3 or 4 controllers.
We’ll have more info on features and pricing as these exciting new versions get closer to launch.
Eliza Update
Those that have been watching our stream know that Eliza is coming along nicely, but we’ve gone ahead and put together a short video showing all of her (obviously unfinished) moves in action.
All of this is being tested now in our PC beta, so you can trust that she’ll be fun and balanced when she’s released on PS3 later this summer.

Beowulf and Robo-Fortune
At the Skullgirls Anime Expo panel, the Lab Zero team revealed a bit more about Skullgirls’ future, with Beowulf move concepts.
Beowulf is a wrestler, and will draw on all sorts of over-the-top wrestling moves. In addition to being a great grappler, he’ll also be able to throw his chair, The Hurting, and use it in interesting and strategic ways.
We’re just about to begin animation pre-production for Beowulf, so for now, take a look at a few of these early concept pieces!
At our Anime Expo panel we also revealed the final design of our new “remix” character, Robo-Fortune. We have a million ideas for palettes based on robots throughout games and anime — can you guess this one?
Unlike our April Fool’s “clone” character, Fukua, Robo-Fortune will be fully drawn over with her new design, and also feature new animations to make her look and feel significantly different from her flesh and blood counterpart.

New Gameplay Trailer Reveals Exciting Details for Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire
The Pokémon Company International today announced exciting new features and story elements of Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire, launching in the United Kingdom on November 28th, 2014, for the Nintendo 3DS and 2DS systems. A brand new gameplay trailer has also been released, giving fans a deeper look at what they will discover in their new adventure through the Hoenn region.
New Mega-Evolved Pokémon Mega Metagross!
A new Mega-Evolved Pokémon was revealed today—Mega Metagross. Metagross is the partner Pokémon of Pokémon League Champion Steven, whose deep bond helps it to Mega Evolve into Mega Metagross. Despite helping Trainers throughout their journey, Steven is the last obstacle for Trainers to overcome before becoming the Pokémon League Champion.
Mega Metagross, the Iron Leg Pokémon, is a massive Steel- and Psychic-type Pokémon standing at 2.5 m (8’02”) and weighing 942.9 kg (2078.7 lbs). Upon Mega Evolving, Metagross’s Ability changes to Tough Claws, which increases the power of attacks that make physical contact. Mega Metagross also has a greatly increased Speed stat, with additional increases in its Attack, Defence, Sp. Atk, and Sp. Def, making Mega Metagross primed for both offence and defence.
Deepen Your Bonds with Pokémon-Amie and Meet Cosplay Pikachu!
First introduced in Pokémon X and Pokémon Y, Pokémon-Amie returns in Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire. Pokémon-Amie allows Trainers to create close ties with their Pokémon by playing games together, petting them, and feeding them special snacks called Poké Puffs. As a player’s Pokémon become more affectionate, they will be more likely to do such things as evade attacks in battle, land critical hits, and get an overall boost in performance.
Players will see Pikachu like they’ve never seen it before—Cosplay Pikachu—in Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire. Meet Pikachu Rock Star, Pikachu Belle, Pikachu Pop Star, Pikachu Ph.D., and Pikachu Libre! They seem to have a connection to a kind of Contest Hall. Players will also be able to interact with Cosplay Pikachu in Pokémon-Amie. More information about the new Cosplay Pikachu images shown today will be revealed in August!
Journey through the Hoenn Region
Your Hoenn adventure begins when you meet Pokémon Professor Birch, who runs the Pokémon Lab in Littleroot Town. Professor Birch will help players begin their journey by giving them their first Pokémon and a Pokédex. The Pokémon that appear and the rarity of each will differ between Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire.
The first step to becoming the Champion is to challenge and defeat each of the Gym Leaders in the Hoenn region, including the main character’s father, Norman, who is the Leader of the Petalburg City Gym. It was also confirmed today that players will encounter and battle Rustboro City Gym Leader Roxanne, Dewford Town Gym Leader Brawly, Mauville City Gym Leader Wattson, and Lavaridge Town Gym Leader Flannery.
After defeating eight Gym Leaders, players will travel to the Pokémon League to battle the Elite Four, including Sidney and Phoebe. Upon defeating the Elite Four, Trainers will take on the Hoenn League Champion, Steven, and his Mega Metagross, in the hope of becoming the new Pokémon League Champion!
More Information on Mega Diancie Revealed!
When Diancie Mega Evolves into Mega Diancie, it will get the Magic Bounce Ability, which makes any status condition or stat-lowering effect bounce back at the Pokémon trying to inflict it. Through Mega Evolution, Mega Diancie receives a big boost to its Speed, as well as boosts to its Attack and Sp. Atk, while experiencing a reduction in its Defense and Sp. Def. The boosts help Mega Diancie with its quick, powerful attacks, such as Diamond Storm and Moonblast.
Further details of how players can get Diancie for Pokémon X and Pokémon Y will be shared soon. Players who receive Diancie can Mega Evolve it in Pokémon Omega Ruby or Pokémon Alpha Sapphire.
