Malaysia Hot Stocks-IOI plunges on rumours of execs quitting
    KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 24 (Reuters) - Shares of IOI Corp <IOIB.KL&gt;, Malaysia's
second largest listed planter, plunged on Friday on market talk that some senior
executives were leaving the company following heavy trading losses.
    There was no announcement made by the company, and a company official refused
to comment on the rumours.
    "We cannot confirm this," said a company spokeswoman.
    IOI Corp shares plunged 17.6 percent to 2.49 ringgit by 0633 GMT,
underperforming the benchmark index which was down 3.1 percent. "There were
rumours in the market that the CIO and some other senior executives of the
company were quitting due to heavy losses on CPO (crude palm oil) and forex trade,
" said a brokerage house dealer.
    Three other dealers also confirmed such rumours.
