square both sides,
(cos x + sin x)^2 = 1^2
cos^2 x + sin^2 x + 2 sin x cos x = 1
1 + sin (2x) = 1
sin (2x) = 0
2x = sin^-1 (0) = 0
x = 0, 360

variance=  [ summation x^2 - (summation x)^2/N ] / N

summation x^2 = 29 + m^2
summation x     = m + 7

Substitute into formula and will obtain m^2 - 7m - 44 = 0, (m+4)(m-11)=0, m=-4, or m=11
Since m>0, then m=11
