Marriage registration;
Applicant is required to go to the NRD counter/Consular Office/
Malaysian Embassy together with supporting documents:
* Identity card for citizens
* Passport for non-citizens together with a photocopy
* 1 coloured photo of the applicant (32 mm x 38 mm)
* Decree Nisi Absolute if a divorcee
* Death certificate for a widower/widow
* Letter confirming status of marriage for non-citizens from the applicant’s country of origin
Solemnisation of the marriage for non-Muslims at the NRD office or the
Malaysian representative’s office overseas according to the Law Reforms
(Marriage and Divorce) Act 1976.
Conditions of Application:
The applicant must be a resident in the district of marriage
for 7 days and meets the age requirement.
The solemnisation will take place after 21 days
but not more than 6 months from the date of application.
Fill up JPN.KC02 application form and attach supporting documents.
Payment:
Marriage certificate: RM 20.00
Marriage certification: RM10.00
