Quarterly Announcement on Percentage of Public Bank Shares  

Quarterly Announcement on Percentage of Public Bank ("PBB") Shares of RM1.00
Each Held by Foreigners as at 31 December 2007
We would announce for public information that as at 31 December 2007, 33.68% of
the issued shares of PBB were held by foreigners.  The percentage is computed
based on the total number of PBB shares in issue and after excluding PBB shares
bought-back by PBB and retained as treasury shares as at 31 December 2007.

As the percentage of shareholdings of foreigners of 33.68% exceeded PBB's
maximum foreign shareholding limit of 30.00%, and pursuant to the Securities
Industry (Central Depositories)(Foreign Ownership) Regulations 1996:

1.  30.00% of the issued and paid-up share capital of PBB which were held by
foreigners would be entitled to the rights and entitlements attached to the
shares.

2.  3.68% of the issued and paid-up share capital of PBB which were held by
foreigners would be entitled to the rights and entitlements attached to the
shares except for voting rights.

那么迟还没有出财报，不是业绩非常差吧。。。。。。。。。。
不知道大米姐有什么看法。。。。。。。

大众首九个月,香港,柬埔寨都报捷,相信在最后一个季度里不会翻车.只是没想到那么慢还没出炉.

可能是大米姐和同事们吃喝玩乐,忘了工作
或是业绩太好,算爆了计算机都还算不出来!!

如果大众的业绩不好，那么其他的银行不是要“cap lap"

可能在想要派多少股息烦？LPI 派80仙了，PBBank 不知道要派多少！

大众的业绩是一年比一年快的，现在突然改变，肯定是事出有因，不可以小看，再过不久骠叔就要有大耗星高照，很可能有关联。。。。。

可能骠叔知道花旗出报告所以就 hold 着先！

事出有因： 可能是有关于整个银行也的趋势和发展！  或者是接班人的人选

Chairman: Public Bank not exposed to US subprime mortgage market

KUALA LUMPUR: THE Public Bank group has no exposure to the US subprimemortgage market and expects this year to be another year of strongperformance, said chairman Tan Sri Teh Hong Piow.

"The Public Bank group's overall operations, including its LabuanOffshore Bank and overseas operations in Hong Kong and China, Indochinaand Sri Lanka have absolutely no exposure to the US subprime mortgagemarket segment whether directly or indirectly in its investmentportfolio," he said in a statement.

The unit trust funds managed by Public Mutual also do not have anydirect or indirect investment in the US subprime mortgage market.

Teh expects the group's loans growth to be sustained at the annualised rate of 17% as achieved in the first half of the year.

"The group's customer deposits continue to grow strongly. Asset quality is expected to remain strong.  

"Currently, the group's net non-performing loan ratio is only 1.5% – the lowest in the banking industry in Malaysia.

"With its healthy loan to deposit ratio of 75%, the group is very liquid," he said.

对于the star那篇报导就和之前南洋的有点出入!!! 南洋那篇报导中标叔说得就比较保守,担心美国经济放缓影响我国的经济.但看the Star这篇就好像很乐观!!!

派高股息会影响PBBANK－CD吗？难道PBBANK－CD纯粹是以PBBANK的股价为依据？如果是这样那么买PBBANK－CD的风险岂不是很高？因为PBBANK派高股息已是人尽皆知的事了。。

明天大众银行应该会公布业绩了，如果业绩好能带动马股的投资气氛，尤其是银行相关的股项，甚至可以延伸至产业股，零售股，汽车股及建筑股，大家拭目以待吧！
