喝酒的马来坡仔开口了。。。
The Islamic Religious Council of Singapore (MUIS) has issued a statement today to clarify that it has a flexible approach towards consuming non-halal food in halal-certified restaurants, and added that McDonalds' ban on non-halal cakes was done without consulting the national Muslim body.
MUIS clarified that customers can eat food that is not from the halal-certified restaurant in certain cases, such as with birthday cakes and baby food.
Restaurants can exercise their own judgement in such cases, as long as there is no cross contamination, the non-halal item is not brought into the kitchen, food preparation area or storage facilities, disposable cutlery is used and the food waste remnants are disposed of immediately after.
MUIS has since contacted McDonald's to discuss the matter and express its appreciation.
