The Board of Directors of Kencana Petroleum is pleased to announce that Bursa

KUALA LUMPUR: KENCANA PETROLEUM BHD [] plans to finance the US$200 million required to jointly develop and operate the Berantai oil and gas field through an equity/debt fund raising exercise.
“The detailed breakdown between the various sources of funding has yet to be determined at this juncture, pending completion of the company’s proposed fund raising exercises in its entirety,” it said on Monday, Feb 7, in response to a query by Bursa Malaysia.
Its partner, SAPURACREST PETROLEUM BHD [] informed the stock exchange that it was in discussions with a leading local bank to secure the necessary funding to part-finance its unit, Sapura Energy Venture’s contribution to the cost of development of the Berantai field.
“As of today, the offer of financing has not been finalised,” it said.

吉隆坡：KENCANA石油补阳[]的16669.0万新股份配售于RM2.38每RM396.7筹集所得款项总额。
马银行投资银行有限公司，它作为一个联合顾问和联合承销商采取行动，在周二表示，2月8日说，RM2.38发行价为约1.65％折让RM2.42 1月25日收市价的价格。
马银行投资银行首席执行员东姑拿督东姑阿卜杜勒阿齐兹说Zafrul私募收到来自国际和国内机构投资者“，说明投资者对Kencana石油未来前景的信心”非常强烈的需求。

KUALA LUMPUR: Petroliam Nasional Bhd’s (Petronas) exploration have resulted in major oil and gas (O&G) discoveries offshore Sarawak, giving it a major boost as it targets over 50 exploration wells to be drilled offshore Malaysia in the next three years.
The national oil corporation said on Monday, Feb 14 it had made major O&G discoveries through the drilling of NC3 and Spaoh-1 wells in Blocks SK316 and SK306 offshore Sarawak.
It said the Spaoh-1 well of 3,000m drilling depth, located in Block SK306, shows similar promise. It was drilled in December 2010 and found both O&G.
“The preliminary evaluation indicates around 100 million barrels (mmstb) of oil and 0.2 trillion standard cubic feet (tscf) of gas in place, respectively. Currently, the well is being prepared for production testing,” it said.
In March 2010, a successful drilling of the NC3 wildcat well and a subsequent appraisal found 2.6 tscf of net gas in place.
“The wells were each drilled to a depth of almost 4,000 metres below sea level. Additionally, production flow test results of the wells demonstrate that the field is technically producible,” it said.
Petronas said these discoveries support its strategy to intensify exploration activities in Malaysia and is expected to further enhance exploration potential offshore Sarawak.
The national oil company expects over 50 exploration wells to be drilled offshore Malaysia by Petronas and its production sharing contractors over the next three years.
“These activities, especially if they result in discoveries, are expected to spur business opportunities in the O&G industry and will promote upstream investment in the country,” it said.

SapuraCrest Petroleum Bhd led Malaysian oil and gas services higher in Kuala Lumpur trading after Petroliam Nasional Bhd said it made major oil and gas (OandG) discoveries off the coast of Sarawak state.
Shares of SapuraCrest climbed 4.1 per cent to RM3.54 at 4.29 pm local time, set for its steepest gain since January 27.
Kencana Petroleum Bhd added 2.4 per cent to RM2.54 and Malaysia Marine and Heavy Engineering Bhd. climbed 1.6 per cent to RM6.22. - Bloomberg |

國油砂發掘大油氣田‧油氣股走勢亮眼

（吉隆坡14日訊）國家石油（Petronas）在砂拉越岸外發掘重大的油氣田，初步估計兩個新油井蘊藏2兆8千億立方呎天然氣及1億桶原油，朝向未來3年達到50個待開採油井的目標。
該公司發表文告指出，國油透過砂拉越岸外的SK316及SK306區域，在NC3及Spaoh-1油井發現重大油氣開採，其中前者的開採深度是離海域的4千公尺以下，初步估計擁有2兆6千億立方呎天然氣。
至於Spaoh-1油井則從去年12月起開採，料蘊含1億桶原油及20億立方呎天然氣，開採深度離海域3千公尺以下。
沙布拉資源走高15仙
SAPCRES(8575)
受到這項利好激勵，油氣股走勢亮眼，其中以沙布拉資源（SAPRES,4596,主板產業組）的表現最出色，走高15仙至3令吉55仙，肯油企業（KENCANA,5122,主板貿服組）、海事重工（MHB,5186,主板貿服組）各漲9仙至2令吉57仙及6令吉21仙，而國油貿易（PETDAG,5681,主板貿服組）則起2仙至12令吉24仙。
國油表示：“測試顯示，以技術而言，這些油氣田是可以被開採的，並將激勵油氣領域的擴展機會，及推廣在國內的投資活動。”
原油及天然氣產量走跌
大馬過去兩年的原油及天然氣產量已走跌，其中原油從每日的166萬桶，下跌至163萬桶。為此，政府已即時作出反應，以提供津貼方式鼓勵業者開採至較深的區域及開採賺幅較小的油氣田。
這包括將稅收幅度從38%降低至25%、提昇資本津貼及豁免出口原油產品稅收。
截至2009年杪，國內的原油及天然氣儲備各達55億桶及84兆1千億立方呎，可各維持24年及38年。
