I noticed there're several words that are commonly mispronounced by Malaysians or even those whose mother-tongue is English. Below are the list of it. If there are any mistake, do tell me. Gracias.

Please add other words that you noticed people usually mispronounce so that we won't make the same mistakes again.

楼主可以把贴子编辑一下集合在一个帖子里,不必三两个字一帖。
这样容易读又不会浪费佳礼资源。

PS:贴过的东西不需要再贴吧?我的帖子里你也说过market和science了。

Yes. Different place, they have different accents. But, the differences aren't big. Just like between BrE and AmE, the obvious differences you can find are:
1. when they're pronouncing the word which contains the letter 'o'. BrE pronounce it as 'eu'. However, AmE is 'ou'.
2. In AmE, pronounce every letter clearly e.g. 'r'. However, BrE, the 'r' is ignored.
e.g. Finger - BrE : fin-ge
                       AmE: fin-ger
3. There're still several words that're different, e.g. 'lingerie' (stated above).

Australian English: The only big difference is when they're pronouncing the word 'day'. It sounds like 'die'. lol...

American Accent is what we always listen on the tv. British accent, however is very easy to recognise (watch Harry Potter or other 'old' movies). Scottish accent, well, if you listen carefully, you'll notice that they 'shorten' the words that as they're talking. And of course, there're others too such as Welsh, Irish, et cetera. and maybe Malaysian accent? jkjk...(This is only according to what I know and what I think it is).

Thanks for your suggestion. But, I still don't understand..what do you mean by 浪费佳礼资源? I mean...how?

uh-huh...yeah...I did post it somewhere...don't you think that collecting all the things under one topic is better for people to refer. I suppose people do that too when they're revising?

PS: By the way, if I edit the replies, how do I delete the others (the unwanted ones)? I'm new here, there're loads of things I don't know

I think it's okay. Should be American English, I s'pose. It won't make much difference when we're speaking fast.

yeah...you're right. It should be if-ning, with the 'if' as the stressed syllable. But, we'll still make a small 've' sound between the 'if' and 'ning'.
