大馬半島最西邊的小島。。。北馬的西巴丹？？

之前有聽過釣魚kaki談到這島嶼。。這幾天得空就搜索網絡。。 找到些資料和照片。
以下照片都是從Universiti Malaya Maritime Research Centre (UMMReC) 所舉辦的
Scientific Expedi-tion to the Seas of Malaysia (SESMA)考察團所拍攝的，只做分享用途。
這個被遺忘的小島就是。。。。。
Pulau Perak（銀島）(Latitude: 5° 42' 0 N, Longitude: 98° 55' 60 E)
距離Langkawi 60海里，距離雙溪大年110公里。
這是考察團之珊瑚生物學家的言論。。

Pulau Perak urgently needs to be gazetted as a protected marine area, if Peninsular Malaysia wants to have a marine park comparable with the Sipadan islands off Sabah.
A survey by the Universiti Malaya Maritime Research Centre (UMMReC) recently found that Pulau Perak, about 60 nautical miles southwest of Langkawi, has abundant marine life and corals.
The centre's coral biologist, Affendi Yang Amri, who led a team of seven on a survey to gauge post-tsunami effects on the underwater environment in Langkawi and Pulau Perak said with proper planning, Pulau Perak can boost eco-tourism in the area.
From the surveys it showed that the island has a very unique reef structure if compared to other coral reefs in Peninsular Malaysia. This is due to it being a sheer 90 degrees drop-off to 34m, levels off for 5m before dropping off again. Underwater horizontal visibility was 50m and 35m vertically. About 80% of the coral cover was dominated by the encrusting coral growth type.

Where the southern Andaman sea meets the Straits of Melaka, 60 nautical miles south west of the legendary island of Langkawi, lies Malaysia's most westerly island, Pulau Perak. Rising almost vertical from the sea bed, the waters around this limestone outcrop teem with fish. This relatively new discovery has so far produced Big Eye Tuna, Rainbow Runner, Cobia, Sailfish, Striped Marlin, Wahoo, Shark, Narrow Barred Mackerel and Giant Trevally. Sailfish in excess of 60kg have been landed.

島上有Jetty了。。
還可以camping扎營呢。。。。。
