SYNOPSIS:
WITHIN / WITHOUT features six scintillating viewpoints in three different monologues, which will be brought to life by acclaimed actresses Nell Ng, Melissa Saila and Lim Tiong Wooi. Inspired by critical Asian writings, directors Lim How Ngean, Reza Zainal Abidin and Loh Kok Man come together ot offer an exciting mix of stories on both love and war, birth and death and the price of public toilets!
This unique showcase of distinguished Asian playwrights reflects the society of their time and the people of their generation. It brings together three seasoned directors who will be directing a monologue each based on plays by Alfian bin Sa'at, Leow Puay Tin and Kuo Pao Kun.
Although the original work forms the basis of each monologue, the pieces have been adapted and reworked so that these three seemingly separate stories are woven together to form a solid showcase. To make it more interesting, each piece is presented in such a way that two sides of the story will be revealed.
Alfian Sa'at's Madu II - directed by Reza Zainal Abidin, starring Melissa Saila
Kamariah and Suhaila are both married to the same man. Kamariah is the first wife and Suhaila is the second. They live together in the same house. Each contemplates their fate and how they got there. Both, in their own ways, are trying to negotiate their postitions. Both realises that neither is to blame for their situation. Both have their own stories and demons to talk about. As with many women in this situation, they find their stories intertwined.
Kuo Pao Kun's Spirits Play - directed by Fred Lim (aka Lim How Ngean), starring Nell Ng
Searching for meaning and justice in times of hardship and struggle, disembodied characters in an empty landscape meet to tell their stories. Memory and pain are firmly rooted in their bodies with different degrees of intensity, colour and magnitude. In the telling of their stories, the characters hope to connect with humanity and make sense of who they are.
Water Closet: two short pieces based on Ang Tau Mui, written by Leow Puay Tin - directed by Loh Kok Man, starring Lim Tiong Wooi
Picture an empty space where imagination and mundane life intertwines, a most ordinary place where she has her greatest fantasy. Walking between the rim of reality and delightful dreams and of loneliness, a tune brings her to the most wonderful days of her life

首先，谢谢版主为了让读者更清楚这演出的性质特别在我的标题加上（英文剧）三字。
这演出是由 KLPac 呈现，
演出邀请了本地三位导演
罗国文， Lim How Ngean 和 Reza Zainal
个别选用了
新加坡剧作家郭宝昆的《灵戏》，Alfian Sa'at 的 Madu II
及 马来西亚的剧作家 Leow Puey Tin 的 Ang Tau Mui
三位导演找了三位演员，
林冬辉， Nell Ng 及 Melissa Saila
分别选了以上的三个剧本，分别编导了 6部 15分钟 的单人剧。
6部作品 分别以 英文，马来文 及 广东话呈现。
这是一场非常有趣的组合，一场跨领域跨文化的表演。

对白容易明白，不会太过于深奥。。。
也会频频出现惊喜，
