Straits Times Index Could Hit 4,000 by December

April 11 (Bloomberg) -- Singapore's Straits Times Index could rise to 4000 by December, said JPMorgan Chase & Co., citing the city-state's pro-growth monetary policy, strengthening currency and domestic growth. The revised forecast compares to the previous estimate of 3,000.
The Straits Times Index target assumes an 8 percent re- rating in the market by the end of the year to 18.6 times estimated 2008 earnings, JPMorgan said in a note today signed by Winnifred Heap, an analyst at JPMorgan in Singapore, and eight other analysts.
``The re-rating drivers, in our view, are a strong currency and low interest rates,'' said Heap. ``Singapore's growth story is underappreciated and therefore we expect positive earnings revisions.''
The Straits Times Index slipped 2.52, or 0.1 percent, to 3420.10 as of 11:22 a.m. local time. It closed at 3422.62 yesterday, a fourth-straight record. The 50-stock measure, which tracks the most heavily weighted and active stocks traded on the Singapore Exchange, has risen 15 percent this year.
Gross domestic product expanded an annualized 7.2 percent in the three months ended March, compared with a 7.9 percent pace in the previous three months, the trade ministry said yesterday. That beat all forecasts in a Bloomberg News survey of nine economists, where the median estimate was a 4.9 percent gain.

我个人认为STI 3300 SGAePW070529 较稳,

从3400点到3300点,下跌100点, In The Money 3300 Put
从3400点到3000点, 下跌400点, In The Money 3000 Put


其实,认购权证(Call Warrant)也可以赚钱,顺应市场潮流
