gamescom is a trade fair for video games held annually at the Koelnmesse in Cologne, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It is organised by the Bundesverband Interaktive Unterhaltungssoftware (Federal Association of Interactive Entertainment Software). It is used by many video game developers to show off their upcoming games and game-related hardware.[1][2][3][4]
Gamescom is the World's largest games event with 275,000 visitors, more than 5,000 journalists and 557 exhibitors from 39 countries attending the show in its third year.[5] It was first held from 19 to 23 August 2009. Gamescom 2012 will be held from 15 to 19 August 2012. It is held on a 120,000 square meters area.

Xbox One 独占新作《量子裂痕》首度实机展示操控时间冻结场景
在今(12)日晚间举办的欧洲最大规模电玩展Gamescon 微软展前发表会中,Remedy Entertainment 创意总监Sam Lake 登台并且为现场带来Xbox One 独占新作《量子裂痕(Quantum Break)》的全球首度8 分半的实机游戏展示,并操作主角之一的杰克‧乔伊斯(Jack Joyce)来展示他独特的能力。
Remedy Entertainment 将重回该公司擅长的TPS 领域,并且在实机展示中展现了结合了「操控时间」的游戏特色,来展现随时将场景冻结的艺术性画面表现,并完美的发挥了次世代主机的能力。同时,也展现了在冻结的时间中移动、以及强调「子弹时间」的游戏游玩方式,都相当的新颖。在展示最后,也看到身着特殊装备的敌人也和主角拥有相同的操控时间能力,双方在冻结的空间内交手的独特玩法令人十分的惊艳。

Rise of the Tomb Raider - Update
Dear Tomb Raider Community,
As you may have seen, we’ve just announced that Rise of the Tomb Raider, coming Holiday 2015, is exclusively on Xbox. We consider all of you to be the lifeblood of Tomb Raider and the work we do at Crystal. I’d like to give you some insight into this decision, and why we feel this is the very best thing for the Tomb Raider sequel we’re creating at the studio.
Tomb Raider in 2013 was a success due in large part to your continued support. Our goal has always been to deliver something truly special with Rise of the Tomb Raider. Today’s announcement with Microsoft is one step to help us put Tomb Raider on top of action adventure gaming. Our friends at Microsoft have always seen huge potential in Tomb Raider and have believed in our vision since our first unveil with them on their stage at E3 2011. We know they will get behind this game more than any support we have had from them in the past - we believe this will be a step to really forging the Tomb Raider brand as one of the biggest in gaming, with the help, belief and backing of a major partner like Microsoft.
This doesn’t mean that we’re walking away from our fans who only play on PlayStation or on PC. Those are great systems, with great partners, and amazing communities. We have Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris coming to those platforms this December, and Tomb Raider: The Definitive Edition is available on PS4.
We know that there are probably many more questions and concerns. Please do send them to us, and we’ll answer to the best of our ability. Meanwhile we’re going all out to try and make something truly special - the most ambitious Tomb Raider game ever built.

曾开发《玄天神剑(Heavenly Sword)》、《DmC:恶魔猎人》与《幻想西游记(Enslaved)》的游戏研发商Ninja Theory 今日稍早在索尼于德国Gamescon 的展前发表会上,首度公开了旗下开发的最新原创游戏《地狱之刃(暂译,英文原名:Hellblade)》,并同步释出游戏影片。
《撕纸小邮差》是Media Molecule 去年于PS Vita 上推出的原创游戏,以独特的“纸艺” 为主题,游戏中玩家在完全由纸张构成的纸艺世界展开冒险,并发挥PS Vita 所具备的众多独特硬体功能来探索世界。玩家不只要操作主角「iota」前进,在游戏中还要透过正/ 背面的触控功能来撕开纸雕世界替「iota」清出道路、使用麦克风吹气刮起强风、藉由陀螺仪使大地倾斜、以及拍张图案来替困扰的驼鹿换上新衣等等,实现多样创意的玩法。
《刺客信条:叛变》由育碧索菲亚工作室负责开发,并与育碧新加坡、蒙特利尔、魁北克、成都、米兰和布加特斯特等几家工作室进行合作。本作的舞台设置在18世纪中叶的七年战争时期,而在游戏中玩家们可以探索北美地区的许多新场景,比如北大西洋、阿巴拉契亚河谷还有纽约。此外在本作中,玩家们将在系列中首次以圣殿骑士的视角来看待游戏的世界。玩家们将扮演主角Shay Patrick Cormac,他遭到了兄弟会的背叛,因而转变成了一位刺客猎人。
以目前情况所见,像是《Ryse》、《Dead Rising 3》这些所谓的「Xbox One 独占游戏」都纷纷出在别的平台上。这样算来,Xbox One暂时还没拥有真正意义上的「独占大作游戏」,今年年尾的《Halo Master Cheif Collection》和明年的《Halo 5》才是它的独占游戏!
这年头,除了是第一方厂商出的独占游戏让人信服之外,第三方厂商所谓的独占游戏其实到最后已经不可能独占了。经历过PS2年代的我发现,这年头电玩游戏只不过是门生意,到最后电玩对电玩公司的价值,也不过是种生钱工具。没错,过去玩家的确是被这种游戏厂商玩得团团转(著名的有Capcom的《RE0》、《RE:Remake》、《RE4》,Namco的《Tales of Symphonia》等等)。只是,时代变了,开发游戏的费用已经太高,第三方厂商已经不能再这样高姿态地出所谓的「独占游戏」了。这对玩家来说无疑是件好事,因为我们不再需要担心自己喜欢的游戏出在自己没有拥有的主机上了!
