MALAYSIAN MERCHANT MARINE BERHAD ("MMM" or "the Company")
- MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT
The Board of Directors of MMM wishes to announce that the Companys wholly-owned
subsidiary, Erayear Solution Sdn Bhd, has on 8th January 2010 entered into a
Memorandum of Agreement with Uniships Pte. Ltd, a company incorporated in
Singapore, to acquire a chemical tanker, for a purchase consideration of USD 38
million.
The chemical tanker is a double hulled tanker registered in Panama and with a
dead weight tonnage of 19,980. The chemical tanker is intended for trading of
chemical and oil products.
The purchase consideration is arrived at based on market value which was agreed
between the seller and buyer. The purchase consideration will be funded
substantially by borrowings.
None of the Directors of MMM, major shareholders and/or persons connected to
the Directors and major shareholders have any direct or indirect interest in
the aforementioned acquisition.
