MRI of the Brain and IAM
Sagittal T1W,TSE, axial T2W scans of the brain were obtained. These were followed by high resolution coronal scans T2W axial scans and plain T1W fat-sat axial scans of the internal auditory canals.
Findings
Normal appearance of the brain parenchyma. No focal brain lesion is noted.
Bilateral 7th and 8th nerves in the internal auditory canals appear normal.
No focal bulge is noted to suggest the presence of acoustic neuroma.
No cerebello-pontine angle mass is noted.
The brainstem, thalami, pituitary gland, internal capsules and ventricles are normal.
Bilateral middle ears and mastoid cells are well-aerated.
IMP:
Normal MRI Brain and bilateral internal auditory canals and CP angles.No evidence of any acoustic neuroma or any CP angle tumour.
