Both are switches, however for different application.

SSR is expensive, mostly used in fast switching for high current device at output.

Optocoupler.... I mostly used at input as switches to MCU, to prevent any damage from incoming signal to MCU.

固態繼電器(Solid State Relay)是給交流輸出用的， 而光耦合器(Optocoupler)就如master 所說的做隔離輸入或是輸出用的。
