热火队在上场对阵魔术的中场休息时间,
正式退役莫宁(Alonzo Mourning)的33号球衣,
他是热火第一位享有退役球衣殊荣的球员。
整个仪式历时43分钟，
期间莫宁发表了自己的演讲：“我的朋友和家人昨晚还在打赌说我今天会不会哭，我告诉他们会赌输,因为我根本没有半点要哭的打算。”
但是这位铁汉还是在退役仪式上哭了出来，
美国总统奥巴马为莫宁特意发来贺电，
而热火总裁现场为莫宁的慈善基金捐赠了五万美元。

As Mourning's No. 33 jersey was being raised to the rafters at the AmericanAirlines Arena on Monday, tears came streaming down his face.
当莫宁的33号球衣在美航球馆缓缓升起时,莫宁悄然泪下.

"My friends and family members last night were taking bets on whether or not I was going to cry today," Mourning said prior to the ceremony. "I told them they were going to lose that bet because I don't have any intentions of crying."

Mourning didn't just cry, he cried like a baby.

But by the time the oversized jersey was in place and Mourning stepped to the podium to address the crowd, concluding the 43-minute halftime break, he had regained his composure.

He said he was "honored" to be the first member of the organization to have his number retired and then went on to thank most members of the star-studded cast surrounding him on the court.

Mourning, 39, held his composure during the tributes, which started with a letter from President Barak Obama that said how "proud" he was of Mourning, not only for the type of player he was, but for how he "gave back to the community."

Florida Gov. Charlie Crist spoke after being greeted by more jeers than cheers.
"Alonzo Mourning is not just a basketball player, Alonzo Mourning is a great human being," Crist said. "He is a great inspiration."

Heat President Pat Riley presented Mourning with a $50,000 check for his charities before praising the man he acquired in the trade that sent Glen Rice to Charlotte before the 1995 season.

"If I were going to build a team today, he would be my number one pick without a doubt," Riley said.
